Henry M. Jackson high school is an amazing school! I love it here. The other students are extremely friendly, and the typical cool kid and not cool kid thing doesn''t exist here. That is really appreciated. They take AP classes extremely seriously here, and the education curriculum is amazing.

As a student this year, the staff is horrible. They don't give you your schedules until the day before the first day of school and as of now, many students are angry with their schedules. The counselors don't respond to emails over the summer about scheduling or even during the year, my friends and I have sent several emails concerning different issues and our counselors never email back. I see some counselors or staff people on the phone talking to other people while we students have to wait for the longest time ever before they talk to us. In addition, there are some teachers who are not qualified to teach. However, the teachers who are very qualified to teach are not recognized by the administration and with budget cuts, some new but qualified teachers had to leave while older but not qualified teachers got to stay. Aside from these negatives, there are also positives. The school does offer UW and AP courses and the athletics at this school are well-known and recognized for their achievements. Band and choir are also pretty good. However, I believe that the school needs to fire a good lot of the staff and hire new and better ones. Seniority is something that tends to stay at this school but they should choose teachers and other staff members not based on seniority but based on their achievements in helping students.
